So , as you may have heard already-the unfortunate news that the most underground metal club in this damn city is shutting down.
I will attempt to explain the reasons (so there are no confusions) to all of our friends and everyone who has ever enjoyed hanging out there.
Nightlife Rock is a part of a bigger chain of Nightlife restaurants under the corporation of Restel , which also holds Cumulus hotels and a bunch of other franchise in Finland.
The higher managing board of Restel has decided that the company will slowly pull away from the nightclub business and therefore they are closing all Nighlife Clubs . On their place they will build hotel rooms as part of the Cumulus Hotel chain.
Yep, you heard it right! The place is not closing down for any other reason but this . In the future Restel may even start closing down the pubs aswell , but that is not sure. In any case all of us (DJs) and the great working staff have put a lot of efforts in renovating and painting nice artwork on the walls , but we were not aware of this sudden decision , which found all of us in a rather puzzling state of mind.
We are all very sad (to say the least) and we would like to apologize to all the great metal friends who have supported us all these years.
Nightlife Rock aka PERKELE CLUB shall never be forgotten!
But not to worry , now that Inferno and Perkele Club have collapsed in the span of 1 month, hopefully sooner or later someone will start a great new live location ready for the underground and new live talent to play some great gigs . And we will be right there once again to STAY HEAVY and side by side with you all.
Its the people that make the club work and not the so much the money spend on it, and thus we can't wait to see what the near future will stir up on the metal scene.
